April 5, 2003 RoboRama.03a Results
Held at The Science Place, Fair Park, Dallas, TX
Thanks to everyone and every robot who participated in RoboRama 03a! We had a great turnout, and had around seven
new members sign up. Randy Dumse announced that his friend (and new best friend of every DPRG member), Mike
Keesling, had made a very, very generous donation of two encoder-equipped Swiss gearmotors to each member of the DPRG.
The DPRG extends its thanks to:
- Master of Ceremonies: Kipton Morovec
- Judges: Ralph Tenny, Martin Meier, Eric Yundt. I also saw Bill James helping out.
- Sign-in, letter writing, planning, etc.: Vicky Taylor
- Scorekeeper: Teresa Trotman
- Scorecard transportation specialist: Travis Trotman
- Videographer: Cindy Rivers
- Course Set-up: John Drummond, John Drummond's truck, Martin Meier, Bill Cole, Chris Yahn, Jeff Koenig, Rita
- Forms, printing, etc.: Steve Rainwater and Susan Chance-Rainwater
- Award Printing: Earl Bollinger
- Typing, lots of typing: Jeff Koenig
- Mike Dodson - for letting us keep all of the club's oversized stuff in his warehouse
- Summer and Rita - for putting up with us, and being great hosts
- The Science Place - for letting use their awesome facilities
- The following business for the donation of prizes:
Solutions-Cubed, Tanner Electronics,
