David

There are a lot of DC-DC converter solutions out there. But the main thing
to remember is that although the motors may draw a small amount of current
at 30 volts say 100ma, they will draw at least 3 times the current on the
9.6V side of the converter. This could be as much as 300ma per motor in
this example.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas for a step up voltage converter. I'd
like to convert 9.6 volts up to 24 to 30 volts or so. Current requirements
would be only to run 2 small gearmotors, about 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches,
Canon quality, sonot a lot of mAs needed. They are painfully slow at 9.6
v,
very slow at 19.2 v, but they may be adequate at near 30. Any low cost
ideas?
