The kids make it a lot of fun. Doing it with the family will be a hoot.

In the past week one person has signed up for the Pepsi Kid-Around.
There is no one signed up for Saturday afternoon, or Monday Afternoon. Only
one person is signed up for Sunday Morning. All the rest of the time there
is only two people. I have 4 people listed on the signup because that is
what is needed to run it when there are a lot of kids around. I am planning
to be there ALL THREE DAYS!

If we can not get the people to fill in the numbers, we will have to tell
them we can not do this again. I do not want to have to be there all day
everyday. I am doing it because we made a commitment to do this. If the
club does not support this kind of activity, then we will not do it in the
future. Unfortunately, it is too late to back out for this year.

This has been a lot of fun for the people involved in the past years. You
can expect to see about 10,000-13,000 people in the three days. The kids
are fascinated by the robots. We will have the robot mower out there. We
will also have whatever robots you folks bring out.

I hope some of you have robots you can loan us for the weekend, because with
the shortage of people there will also be a shortage of bots.

I need people to sign up. If you are not signed up, signup. If you are
signed up sign up for a second and third slot. -- I am not asking you to do
more than I am doing. I will be there for 6 slots plus setup on Friday, and
takedown on Monday.

Pepsi Kid-around Signup

This is held at Riverchon Park in Dallas. It is at the end of Turtle Creek
Dr. where it ends into Maple Ave. It is Labor day weekend. I would like 4
people each session. Sign up for more than one session.

I also need stuff to show all the time. If you can't come, at least send
something to demonstrate. I will be there to take things home each night
and make sure they get back in time each morning. I will also fill in the
gaps where there are not to many people signed up.

So far signing up has not been as good this year. For example, no one has
signed up for Monday or Saturday afternoon two of our biggest times. Signup
and support the club at this event. Usually 10,000 people show up. It is
good exposure, helps educate, and benefits a good cause.

7:00 Friday September 1 Setup (does not take long we set up the banner,
tables, chares, figure out where things go, set up the robomow area, and the
