Several asked where to get Pittman motors.

They had with and without encoders.  The versions with encoders are
great, one with 2950 counts per shaft turn (bit on high side).
Quadrature output to tell direction.  Price high for encoder included
$43.
 
Even though it said running voltage 10-30V,  I ran it on 7.2V with lots
of speed and power.

My last purchase was at MPJA.  19.1V.  Lower encoder around 500 counts
per output shaft turn. $29, with encoder is good price.
 
These are strong motors, with excellant HP quad encoders.
 
Down side they are on the large side.
