Wow, 80 robots already pre-registered.  This year is going to be big and a lot
of fun.

Here is a schedule of events.  For those of you that are competing, take note of
the times.

Friday Night, May 3rd, Hack Session

7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Seattle Center - Center House, Conference Room A, It's on
the third flood (or second floor depending on which side of the building you
enter).

The informal get together of robot builders to talk about robots and tell war
stories.  There may be some interesting presentations/videos on the CMU camera
and a balancing robot.  Parallax is going to show off some interesting robots.
This is going to be a lot of fun.

Saturday, May 4th, Robothon 2002

10:00 am to 5:00 pm  Seattle Center - Center House, Main Floor (the main food
court floor)

Now here is a schedual of events.  Print this out for the times.

Check in Times:
9:00 to 10:00 am : Setup
9:30 to 10:00 am : Mini Sumo check-in, Weigh-in, and Sizing.  Check in at the
Mini Sumo Rings
9:30 to 10:00 am : Line Maze Check-in and Sizing.  Check in at the Line Maze
arena
9:30 to 2:00 : Floor Exersize check in.  Check in at the Front Desk.
9:30 to 3:30 : 3 kg Sumo check-in.  Check in at the Fron Desk.  Between 3:15 and
3:30 the robots will be weighed and sized so don't be late.

10:00 am to 12:00 pm : Mini Sumo Preliminary Rounds.  So far there are 40 robots
that have signed up.  The preliminaries will be used to narrow down this
exciting number of robots to 8 finalists to compete in the finals at 1:00 pm.
We will run 2 rings at the same time, so it is going to be a fast pace.  Bring
lots of batteries.

10:00 am to 11:00 am : Line Maze Contest.  This might slip past 11:00 do to the
higher than anticipated number of robots entering this exciting new contest.
Contest Award Winners will be awarded their awards at the end of the Line Maze
Contest.  So there is no waiting to receive your award.

11:00 am to 12:00 pm : BotBall Demonstration

10:00 am to 12:00 pm Judges Awards Judging.  Any robot that shows up, whether
competing or just showing off is eligible for the award.

12:00 to 12:10 Judges Awards Presentation

12:10 to 1:00 Presentations.  Vendor Presentations.  This will be exciting.

1:00 pm to 2:00 pm :  Mini Sumo Finals.  The top 8 robots from the preliminary
rounds will face off to see who has the best mini sumo robot!!  Award Winners
will be awarded their awards at the end of the mini sumo finals.

2:00 pm to 3:30 pm : Floor Exercise.  Here you will get to see some really
amazing robots doing amazing things.  Always a crowd Favorite.

3:30 pm to 4:30 pm : 3 kg Sumo.  Here the big boys in robot sumo compete.  With
10 pre-registed robots, this is going to be one fast paced contest.  This is the
most 3 kg robots that has competed at the Robothon.  I know there is going to be
a serious grudge match between Daryl and Pete.  Award presentation at the end of
the contest.

4:30 pm to 5:00 pm : Raffle Ticket Prize drawing.  You don't have to be present
to win, but it would be nice to be their to take home your cool prize.
