Weird off the wall idea. Could you create a sphere with LEDs on the outside 
that a steel ball bearing on the inside? The ball would roll around and a 
mesh of contacts would create a circuit that would turn the LED on the 
other side of the sphere on. Sort of a high tech sealed plum bob. :-)
