I think the Mars Rover should look like Rover and be named Rover, as at:

Already Rover is going from parent generation to generation 1 with a 
doubling of speed and load capacity. It will be interesting to see these 
generations in series as at

For those who are enamoured with ant designs, just add two legs. And why not 
wings for later generations?
