What DPRG members are more likely more interested in is the BeagleMIP $150
kit which might possibly be available from Strawson Design
(http://strawsondesign.com/). This is a derivative of the kit used by UCSD
in the classroom. It's not yet been commercialized. It's shown in detail in
the first 10 minutes of the video
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvMA10NuZG8.) from my previous post.
Unfortunately it's not yet available.

The actual WowWee MIP is based on Arduino. Read
-black/. It says:

"Students from UC San Diego's embedded control and robotics class each built
up their own MiP using the [Arduino] kit. If you're looking to buy your own
kit or breakout board, it will be available within a few months through
Sparkfun and other distributors." [This was originally posted on Jan 10th
2014]. It talks about how the original work was done on a Arduino and then
they have progressed to using a BeagleBone black in their kit.
