December 12th - Six Cans and Five Spot Indoor Competitions

On the 12th at the Dallas Maker Space, DPRG holds the Winter 2015 Six-can and Five Spot competitions. Six-cans is a popular gateway competition to the May 2016 Can-Can Soccer event. There has been a lot of trash talk about handily beating the Six-can club time record. Five Spot is a new competition that challenges a robot's obstacle avoidance and navigational ability. Event starts at Noon.

Need another reason to come to DPRG's December 12th event? How about a raffle. JetBrains is providing a free license to one of their products to be raffled at the meeting. You must be present to win. See the link below for details of their products.

RoboColumbus-Plus Outdoor Competition Results

David Anderson's Jbot robot completed the course; arriving, touching, and stopping at each cone, to achieve a perfect score of 9 and win first place. Second place was taken by Scott Gibson's B.U.R.P. robot which circled the course stopping in the vicinity of each cone for 3 points. The weather was cold, but a good time was had by all. A special thanks to the Bouchier family for hosting the event.
