DPRG’s September monthly meeting will be held at the Dallas Maker Space on September 28, starting at 10:00 AM. There will be a button by the door to push to enter the building.
The meeting this month is a double-header talk.
DPRG member, Karim Virani, will follow up last month’s “By your command” presentation by demonstrating his robot, Barney, accepting and acting on spoken natural-language commands. Karim will also cover insights on prompt construction, what the camera sees, and shared context engineering.
DPRG member, Paul Bouchier, will give a talk on Git and GitHub. He will explain why individual robotics developers would benefit from using these tools. The talk will cover how to get started, how to perform frequently used operations, and common scenarios.
After a pizza lunch at Noon, the floor will open for a “Show and Tell” session. Bring your robot or project and take this opportunity to share with the group.
